Another Way Film Festival is calling for "committed, courageous, and emotional" feature and short films.

Madrid, (EFEverde).- The Another Way Film Festival (AWFF) has opened the call for submissions for feature-length documentaries and short films, both fiction, animation and documentary, to participate in the 11th edition of the documentary film festival on sustainable progress in October.
The festival seeks to showcase in this new edition "a bold, committed, and emotional program, with a strong focus on community building," explains the organizers.
The themes of the submissions (documentary for feature films and fiction, documentary or animation for short films) must revolve around three pillars: environmental, social, and economic.
Environmental: Protection of the planet from the most global to the most local vision.
Social: Focused on well-being and equality between people
Economic: Focused on development and responsibility of both businesses and consumers.
The awardsThe selected feature-length documentaries will be included in the festival's program, divided into the Official and Impact sections, which aim to promote these works. Projects submitted in both sections must be between 60 and 90 minutes long, and their winners will be eligible for four awards and a mention.
Among the four awards and the mention are the Jury Prize of €1,500 and the WWF Inspiring the Planet Award of €1,000, for the selected documentary feature films.
Meanwhile, the "Wheel for Change" short film competition, sponsored by SIGNUS Ecovalor, will be open to national and international works competing for two prizes of €600 and €400.
The festivalThe 11th edition of the festival will be held in October 2025, both in person and online. The last edition was attended by more than 11,500 spectators and participants in the activities.
The objective of Another Way, as an association, is to promote and disseminate cinema based on the values of sustainability and the triple bottom line: social, economic, and environmental.
